Marvel Reveals First Look at Four Marvelous MCU Costumes
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is about to be completely different as it enters the year with its own content. The Fantastic Four: First Steps2025. With that growing hype, Marvel Studios releases a first look at the team’s costumesgives fans a glimpse of what Marvel’s First Family will look like in their MCU debut.
The reveal came during the D23 2024: Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where Marvel Studios showed off the new suits, different from the concept art that was originally released when the character was first revealed. Dressed in a Fantastic Four costume with white sleeves and a blue interior was Joseph Quinn, who is set to play Johnny Storm, a far cry from the dark versions of the suits shown in the first teaser images. .

When Marvel first announced the character of The Fantastic Four: First Stepsthey also released legal concepts of Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm all in traditional blue suits with white accents. These early designs were blue clothes, white collars and boots, and a white circle in the middle of the chest with the figure number ‘four’ written in blue in the middle.

In fact, the actual clothes that were presented at D23 showed a more detailed look, with a lot of white shown on the dress. For example, Quinn’s costume as Johnny Storm reveals a white upper arm but with color coming from the hands and around the neck with black and white gloves. Finally, his Fantastic Four logo received an update, where a larger white circle surrounds the smaller blue circle on his chest. Blue pants, or and/or but generally very clear in John Byrne’s era Fantastic Four a sign of humor.
Next was the Byrne era in the 1980s, which moved away from the traditional black and blue uniforms they had become known for. He ditched the black and went for the famous white and blue suits which, again, quickly became an icon in their own right. And while elements of this show up in Marvel’s new live-action adaptation, this latest installment has a lot of design thrown into it — especially with the white sleeves and the modified neck design, the new elements of the film image versus the comic version.
